Miho no Matsubara is another old ‘meisho’ a little off the Tōkaidō consisting of a long grove of Japanese pine that is host to the sacred tree Hagoromo no Matsu where, according to legend, an angel once came down from the heavens due to the area’s beauty. There’s a whole bunch of backstory and literature about this place which I couldn’t go into properly here; just google it.
